When I woke up this afternoon, our landlady handed me a piece of paper. On the paper, there was folded newsprint and in front, a stapled white sheet of paper showing my name, address and precinct number for the "E day." It's kinda sort of test permit when taking admissions exams in college or professional board exams. Good thing that Commission on elections send us notice reminding us use our right to vote and suffrage. What made me think before I opened the stapled letter is that there would like a small paper indicating the running candidate with a small amount of money and thank God there is nothing inside. The piece of paper is a replica of the voting sheet that we will be using for "E day" that we Will enter in the PCOS machine.
Up to now, I haven't decided who will I vote for the president but I have four contenders already for the post. Checking on their profile, they all came in the best schools that the world has to give. Done great projects both governmental and nongovernmental. They'd the political scene and economical scene. So here's my very own, I'll do it by color showing who they are.
Green for Gilbert Teodoro
Known as "Papa Gibo" some ladies. A bar topnotch and Harvard educated dude. I remember when People Asia magazine had him as magazine cover, for me, I was thinking who is this freaking dude running for president. He's not that popular, but when reading the magazine and typhoon twin horse Ondoy and Pepeng hit the country last year. He became famous and with very intellectual answers for interviewers, it made struck.
Yellow for Noynoy Aquino
Son of the late Corazon Aquino and Ninoy Aquino. A very silent person but came out to its shell when entered to political arena. As the only boy in the Aquino family, he assume his full responsibility as dad when his father was assassinated, He took care of his mother and sisters and this only shows that he could be good leader since a good leader is independently in the house. Indeed that democracy will be with us.
Orange for Mannny Villar
A story of rags to riches. This candidate possesses a multi-million empire in real estate. He was a controversial man in the C5 extension case. I find him to to political in helping.
Blue for Dick Gordon
I like Dick Gordon, simple man and real visionary come to reality. Like what he did in Subic. He's natural crusader when comes to disaster and calmanity with Philippine Red Cross. He's really an open handed man and willing to help others unconditionally.
With this four candidates, I'm still having a hard to choose who will I vote. Lets' think. Think for a better Philippines and better world with vote.
As a colleague of mine at work texted me this joke. There were two farmers getting rid of the grass and then a convoy passed by and stopped at them. A man opened up window of luxury vehicle and asked the two farmers, "why are you pulling the grasses." The farmer replied, we're hungry and then the politician said, come join me in my car and the other Farmer said I could not join you since I have a family. The politician replied you can bring them. As they rode the vehicle, the reached a big gate and politician said, "okay guys, since you're are hungry, can you pull my grass since they are already tall.
Let's vote wisely on Monday!
