Yoga is a Journey

I've been practicing yoga exercises for more than a year. I learned a lot of things and techniques in each asanas, proper flow and the philosophy of yoga. Initially, I thought yoga is more of exercises and meditation but its far more beyond that. There are lot of things that other people don't know about yoga. It's really an eye opener if we discover and journey with philosophy of yoga.

There various of types of yoga exercises; Ashtanga, Iyengar, Bikram and Vinyasa. Although the poses are the same,I fell in love with Vinyasa and Ashtanga. In Vinyasa, each movement is synchronised with slow breathing and in Astanga, your strength and flexibility is tested up to the limits. Primarily my favorite poses are the warrior poses. It signifies that we are indeed a warrior, a warrior fighting for love and peace.

Going deeper to yoga, my yoga guru would always say that, "yoga is a journey, in each movement that we do, we are working to our perfection and each time we fall, we learn our lessons." This became my mantra in life, we are really not perfect in this boggling world but we are working for it. Each time we work, we came to a point of surrendering ourselves and failures. In times of this, we became stronger.

Upon knowing yoga more as a practice. I discovered that yoga is like action that we do each day. There is always karma in each action that we do like Newton's third law of motion, "in every action there is always an opposite reaction." Yoga is focused more on having good karma by putting ourselves into good deeds, self discipline, appreciation of life and living naturally with contentment in our hearts.

Life is really a journey with no turning back and yoga is my life with running. They are the instruments of being fit, in body, in mind and in soul. They are focal point in my life to avoid negativity to towards myself and other people.
