Inaugural Run, Running in the Rain

In my previuos blog, I wrote about running in the rain. Alas, I ran in rain last night. it's Adination Session 15 Hill repeats. Though it's an holiday yesterday for inagural of his execleency Pres. Noynoy Aquino, we still ran even were just few.

I worke up late and rush to bathroom and fixed myself and prepared for the Adi night. I arrived on time for the venue. We started jogging for our warm up fropm Pearl drive to Lanuza in Valle Verde and it's drizzling already. I have tye notion in my mind that it will be a wet night and it is.

The drill that night was to hill repeats in St Paul, St Martin and Canley road. They are killers hills but they help a lot. Other Adi groups are kinda jealous of our area because of the terrain. We started to had tempo for our first climb in St Paul and going downhill and rested for a while and at the buttom of St Martin we gathered and informed that we while a sprint for uphill which is 380 meter is steep gradient. Luis told us that is all in the mind. Yes indeed, it's mind over matter. As I sprint with wet road, I afraid that I might slip off the road and again mind over matter. I didn't think of slipping but rather making sure that I reach the topmost and I made it through.

We running uphill with dose of falling rain. I felt warm even it's raining in the dark night. As we did the second repeats, rain got harder. As a runner, my matra is not to quit with the game, all i have to do is to finish what needs to be done. with raindrops, I felt that I was the innocent kid that plays in middle of rain.

What I'm afraid of running in the rain is that to be sick. I really don't want to sick since if your sick you can't be productive fo certain period time. Although our body needs a rest, it doesn't mean that we need to be sick for a rest. when I arrived home, I drank my Berrocca and rested.

Running is in the rain is indeed fun and I'm beginning to love it.

Goodluck to those who will run for the 34th Milo Marathon Manila Elimination. One of the longest and the most classical run in the country. Best of luck to Drew, Maan, Abby. takbo.ph members and more!
